Hey,
Same config here as well, actually.
Anyway, I have come to the conclusion that the lockup wasn't caused by
your patch, but by the -current kernel of today.
At the moment I'm stuck using a kernel I compiled on Saturday, 12th
May, since it seems that the current kernel is forcing me into the
debugger every time I try compiling something.
Anyway, I actually tried wip/modular-xorg-server-mesa653 to see if I
could get DRI working there, but same issue:
[drm] failed to load kernel module "i915"
(II) intel(0): [drm] drmOpen failed
(EE) intel(0): [dri] DRIScreenInit failed. Disabling DRI.
And I also had those keyboard problems as you mentioned, so I switched
back to x11/modular-xorg-server.
Furthermore, thinking maybe I had screwed up the i810 driver
compilation, I recompiled that, and am now using the 'intel' driver
from the Xorg FTP-- still no dri.
I'm probably still missing something.
