It did. Thanks a lot. I had to apply it manually as the line numbers
did not correspond exactly to what is now in -current; also one of the
five files was already patched as per your modification. I should
later recreate the patch and post it back.

glxgears is actually slower in the default small window, but when ran
full screen I am getting now ~200fps, before it used to be ~105fps.
