I have an Emphase IBOX AMD LX-800 which has a Geode processor and an AMD
graphics chipset.  I can get a PXE boot to netbsd ok but no matter if I use
the original XF86 or Xorg X server I get a flash on the screen of some
colors and then a black screen.  The system is still running as I can enter
commands and they work but I cannot see any screen until I reboot.  If I
look at the Xorg log, I see a VBESetVBEMode failed error and then an A2
ILLEGAL EXTENDED X86 OPCODE and finally a Fatal Server error:
AddScreen/ScreenInit failed for driver 0.

 

I've tried vesa and vga drivers in the config files and get the same kind of
failure.  Can anyone point me in the right direction to get this running.
