Have you tried -current or as your subject suggests, you really mean
netbsd 3? On my laptop:

agp0 at pchb0: detected 7932k stolen memory
agp0: aperture at 0xb0000000, size 0x10000000
vga0 at pci0 dev 2 function 0: Intel 82915GM/GMS Integrated Graphics Device (rev. 0x03)

(II) I810(0): Integrated Graphics Chipset: Intel(R) 915GM
(--) I810(0): Chipset: "915GM"

and I am running xfree86, but that's current.
