Hi list

Every time the remote X-terminal is restarted, I have to send a HUP signal to xdm
in order to get a xlogin screen there.

I am using XFree86 4.4.0 on a PII with xdm.
The X-terminal is a P100 of 32M. I've tried with NetBSD's XFree and Slackware's
X.org as the server and the problem is the same.

This is from /var/log/xdm.log:

xdm info (pid 1187): Rescanning both config and servers files
xdm info (pid 1187): Rereading servers file /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xdm/Xservers
xdm error (pid 1229): fatal IO error 32 (Broken pipe)
xdm error (pid 15124): IO Error in XOpenDisplay
xdm error (pid 1187): Display Xterminal:0 cannot be opened
xdm error (pid 2719): fatal IO error 32 (Broken pipe)
xdm error (pid 1187): Server crash rate too high: removing display Xterminal:0
xdm info (pid 1187): Rescanning both config and servers files

Help appreciated.
