NetBSD 3.99.1 (kernel and userland)

The most pertinent stuff I can find is:
(II) RADEON(0): Not using default mode "1280x1024" because it is larger than
the preferred mode
 (1024x768).

That's from XFree86.8.log from the config program (which, I might add, would
always start at 1920x1080i in X 4.4 and previous)

AMD Athlon XP2700+, 1GB DDR400 (running at DDR333), SATA & PATA hdd's,
Radeon 9200 w/ 128MB DDRSDRAM AGP 8x, monitor is a viewsonic PS775 17",
which I know for a fact can go up to 1600x1200, and 1920x1080i. It runs at
1280x1024 just fine in X 4.4..
