Thanks, I'll have a look at it ( there's a Voodoo3 in my Mac. I don't really need hardware-accelerated OpenGL, but what the hell ;) )

It's a patch for NetBSD's X11-related sources,

No, the kernel modules would be chipset-specific. As far as I can see the patch mainly deals with the Radeon driver but it also modifies a bunch of other files. I guess I'll apply it and see how far I get with the tdfx-module.
