That's actually not a bad idea. The freetype2, fontconfig and Mesa versions
included in XFree86 are usually quite outdated. So I've already wondered
myself if it is possible to build only the server and the core libraries.
From the output of "ldd" it looks like the server doesn't need any of
these libraries. But I'm not sure about that.
