An obnoxious advertising clause was added to software that has been
around for years with no such clause. This addition was done by David
Dawes without consulting with the plain XFree86 contributors (not on
the BoD).

(I also find the NetBSD advertising clause to be obnoxious. However,
as I am not the author of any of the NetBSD code, I do not feel I have
the right to complain.)

As the author of a few tens of thousands of lines of code in XFree86,
I do feel I have the right to argue what licence it should be
distributed under.
