Yeah, this falls under "(3) People go inventory the small number of
existing alternatives to roff and tex". It's come up before, nobody
has ever seemed particularly enthusiastic. :-|

FWIW, pkgsrc says "gnu-gpl-v3", so that won't be super popular
either.
