top defaults

hello list,

I would like to propose that top defaults to -s1 -1, which means 1
second interval and showing summarized cpu states on mutli-processor
machines.
In a multicore cpu world, top occupies half of the screen when running
a recent cpu, showing 8 cpu state lines.
Alternatively we could summarize, when being >= 4 cpus, although I
would prefer to default to -1.
Additionally I would like to propose to default to an 1 second interval.

What do you think ?
