Dosn't RCD_SCRIPTS_DIR mean there already special cased.

If you mean thay should have there own script (eg +RCD_SCRIPTS) then i totaly
agree.

Do you want to elaborate?

If by that you mean modifing the file instead of just coping it and so 
should be in a seperate script (eg +RCD_SCRIPTS), then i'm working on it!
