This will make using NetBSD on many embedded products infeasible.
Eh, how would that ever affect embedded products? It would just be another database to search in.

...and, I suppose that plain file searches would be even faster than using the ?pwd.db databases for such products; generally it's just too few entries to justify a database. But that's another discussion.
