The default default ought to be a sane shell.  "csh" and its derivatives are
all counter intuitive in many respects.  Many (too many) sysadmins set
up accounts without bothering to ask about preferences and make it
hard to change.  Being relagated to /bin/csh is a pain.  More people
understand /bin/sh.  That should be the default default.  :)
