Well, I've tried to use one on two different systems:

1. On an Intel Server motherboard it responds:

wm0 at pci1 dev 1 function 0: Intel i82547GI 1000BASE-T Ethernet, rev. 0
wm0: interrupting at ioapic0 pin 18 (irq 5)
wm0: Communication Streaming Architecture
wm0: 65536 word (16 address bits) SPI EEPROM

    This configuration has caused the Motherboard to turn off with some=20
hardware error and requires a physical disconnection from power. The reset=
=20
button doesn't work. And Intel blames NetBSD.

2. On a Dell Server box

wm0 at pci1 dev 1 function 0: Intel i82547GI 1000BASE-T Ethernet, rev. 0
wm0: interrupting at ioapic0 pin 18 (irq 3)
wm0: Communication Streaming Architecture
wm0: 64 word (6 address bits) MicroWire EEPROM

    This configuration works well. I haven't stressed the network on this =
one=20
much, but with at least the same load as in #1. I can't give you perfoman=
ce
measures, but it did work.=20

    Result ... I'm not so pleased with #1 above. And I'd recommend you lo=
ok=20
else where. (The boxes in #1 run just fine when not using the wm0=20
interface. That motherboard has a 100Mbit chip that uses the fxp0 driver=
=20
and I've not had any problems with the machines when using the fxp0 driven=
=20
network cards.)
