Worth noting.. I have an older netgear switch (8x10 + 2x100) and it has the
exact same problem.  Certain cards would fdx to it, others wouldn't.  Some of
them I could get into fdx mode, by setting the override switches on the back,
to force it to fdx, but not all of them.
