From the manpage of sort(1), in the BUGS section it says files larger than
704Mb must be sorted in smaller pieces, then merged. Is this still true?
or is that limit based on the default system ulimit of how many open files
a process could have open way back when this was imported? The reason I
ask is that htdig currently uses /usr/bin/sort to sort large text files
and my index size is quickly approaching that 704 Mb limit.
