Sorry about that...  It was compiling in my development environment,
and I wasn't careful enough about making/testing the patch.  I'll
put up a new version by tomorrow.

I plan to start working on the client when the server's been committed.
*-common.[ch] in the tarball I put up should be usable by the client as
well...
