Ahh, the (or one of the) opendisk(3) interface author(s) (Jason)
now says that iscooked was never intended to specify type-checking,
so I think it is now even more important that the change to make
it do so be reverted.

It's incapable of that job anyway, it doesn't have nearly enough
state-space, and files in unix are a superclass, so forcing
vintage-C-style typechecking with a two-state varible doesn't even
make sense abstractly IMHO.
