As your taking votes, as if mine matters, I'm under CON... I don't bother
with this thread as in the same way that I don't use sysinst or pkgsrc, so
far not using rc.d also works for me. Reason for not being keen on all this
automation: after running some automatic upgrade or other I can no longer
guarantee that I know how my system is set up. (Pet hate: software where
gmake -n install just tells you it will run a bunch of shell scripts, but
gives you no hints as to what will change until after you have run it and
look for differences - in that sense maybe I should be using pkgsrc...)
