I have the same requirement.  IF (not emphasis on if) NetBSD adopts 
start/stop scripts for /etc/rc, it makes sense to use the same model
for /etc/{daily,weekly,monthly}.  That's what I've done for years on
many systems and it makes adding/removing bits trivial.
