Yes, it works fine with Sun lex, while flex produces a useless
lexyy.c.

I have found that awk.research is a slight departure from standard
AT&T awk in that it fails on SunOS 4.1.1 and SunOS 4.1.4 when 
doing a kernel config. The SunOS awk must be the one from SVR2
or SVR3.
