   This is something i've been wondering about for some time...
   what *is* the right way to use a 3D-card under Unix/X? One
   reasonable thing I see is to make some OpenGL implementation 
   (Mesa prolly) go out and do the 3D stuff directly, bypassing X
   alltegether, though.

   Or what's the Right Thing to do here?
