if you aren't running NFS or allowing access to RPC-based services
(such as rwalld, etc etc) for security reasons?

Also, assuming I am talking about a single-user stand-alone "leaf" system,
are there any facilities I would want to leave in inetd.conf?
So far I have kept:
  comsat (this is required by the local machine for biff, right?)
  talk (for convenience)
