Or compile them twice, changing a global define.  Something like

#ifdef  _EXTERNAL_
asm("   isinf .equ _isinf");    /* add more leading _ to taste */

#  ifdef  _INTERNAL_
#  define isinf _isinf
#  endif


Okay, compile them one more time than they are already compiled!
