Enabling 68K a.out/COFF support in tools?
I have an up-to-date NetBSD 9 system set up to build NetBSD 9 from source for hp300, sun2, sun3, and mvme68k, and all that works great, I can hack things and netboot various systems and it all just works.
Now I’d like to do some hacking on 68K stuff in a.out and COFF format and was hoping I could leverage the tools I already have instead of putting together a toolchain from scratch, but it looks like the current 68K tooling doesn’t enable support for those formats by default.
Does anyone have any pointers for what I’d have to tweak to enable a.out & COFF formats in the NetBSD toolchain (for 68K at least) so I can just rebuild that and get a toolchain that can both build NetBSD 9 for sun3 and also objdump and compile and link SunOS-compatible binaries?
