Is 3.1 still supported?  I just got a compiler segfault, and my
tendency would be to report it, but I don't want to bother if nobody
cares about compiler issues on 3.1 any longer.  (There's also a slight
chance it's due to local hacks to the compiler; I'd set up a stock 3.1
system to test this possibility before actually filing a PR.)
