That's true today sure, but you're talking about changing things no?
I was simply pointing out that the current ability to build
standalone tools like "make" natively is useful and shouldn't be broken.

Actually just 'make' in usr.bin/make works fine ;-)
Though I do actually use a generic wrapper.
