This looks fine, I suggest checking it in.  Your other PR with host 
tool dependency fixes looks fine, too... I'd also say check that in and 
close the PR.

Thanks for working on this Darrin -- I just haven't had the time to 
update the Apple dev tools on my Powerbook lately.
