Ah, that is little problem to me.  Please go ahead.

I'm using gcc 2.95.3 (I feel egcs was a little robuster, though.
Possibly the gcc developers use ELF :) oldest gas or gas.new,
and the oldest ld.
On i386, gas 2.11.2 is almost working modulo .weak.
