Well, if the source dir is read-only and there are no objdirs, "you get what
you pay for". <wide grin>

I'd rather that the defaults be the same between build.sh and "make build"
to reduce confusion, but I can certainly add a command line option to
generate a MAKEOBJDIRPREFIX based on a supplied obj directory root. I'll
add that feature.
