while i don't find this a problem myself and most people won't, it does
seem funny that we now have binstall in both $TOOLDIR/bin and /usr/mdec.


$TOOLDIR/bin shouldn't probably ever be in $PATH, and /usr/mdec is
probably unlikely to be in $PATH... but should we do anything?
