The binutils-2.9.1 files work for binutils but break egcs.
The egcs-1.1.1 files break binutils.

This is on my task list.  I am intending to pull in the build structure from
Cygnus's `main' repository.

Yah, me.  I have started bundling some of the changes to submit back to the
maintainers.
