it being late and me with nothing to do (except things i'm avoiding or
otherwise putting off) i figured now would be a good time to build the
new release of the ra toolset. big mistake. error messages worse
than i've ever seen. indeed, error messages i've never seen.

i've got

   % c++ -v
    /usr/bin/cc -v
   gcc version 2.7.2.2+myc2
   % as -v
   GNU assembler version 1.92.3, NetBSD $Revision: 1.3 $
   % uname -a
   NetBSD noc 1.3.3 NetBSD 1.3.3 (LINGAM) #1: Tue Apr 13 12:33:49 EDT 1999     andrew@noc:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/LINGAM i386

i haven't included any of the error messages (that i don't truly
understand) but they all seem rather c++ related (do you really want
some?). and since my c++ is a little rusty, i'm not actually gonna
dig out the problems (in the source) and "fix" then. not now,
anyway. i don't even know if it's worth my while.

so my question is...is this c++/gcrc vesion just plain *lacking* in
support for templates? or is something else going dramatically wrong?
