I've just updated the Makefiles so that on the obj, clean, cleandir
and distclean targets make descends into all directories, even
those where the options (usually EXPORTABLE_SYSTEM) would prevent
this. (This was done in some places in the tree, but not others.)

This obviates the need to re-run these targets every time you switch
between an EXPORTABLE_SYSTEM and a non-EXPORTABLE_SYSTEM. I can't
see that this should cause any other problems.
