egcs 1.1 is NOT supported "out of the box" on NetBSD.  Though it may "work"
in most cases, it has some OS-specific problems that will not be addressed
in this PR.

Work is in progress to get the egcs patches sitting in the NetBSD source
tree back to Cygnus for the egcs-1.1.1 release.
