Well, after thinking a little, I went to the BIOS setup and turned
on the "IRQ monitoring" feature on every IRQ available. ACPI is turned
on, and now the kb is working. I don' t know if it's a a bug, because the
machine ran fine this way in Windows and Linux... However, the machine
seems to be very stable and is running just fine.

If might be of interest, the motherboard is a ECS D6VAA with two
Pentium III 1.0 GHz.
