FWIW...

Day before yesterday I built out of my PR440FX machines (dual PPro 200/256)
from scratch with the 1.6 Beta 1 snapshot on ftp.netbsd.org. I did a "cd
/usr; cvs checkout -P syssrc", followed by a "cd syssrc/sys/arch/i386; cvs
update -r sommerfeld_i386mp_1 -dPA .". I built a GENERIC.MP kernel,
installed, and rebooted.

This gave me:

smp1# dmesg
NetBSD 1.6_BETA1 (GENERIC.MP) #0: Wed Jun 5 21:36:10 UTC 2002

smp1#

I've built a couple of ./build.sh and kernel builds with -j 2 or -j 3. All
completed fine. I just finished with a build.sh with nothing else on the
system:

smp1# time ./build.sh -j 3 -O /usr/obj -T /usr/tools

So far so good SMP team.
