I use Enigmail with thunderbird unde NetBSD, and I am quite happy with
it. I use NetBSD 3.0-BETA, Thunderbird 1.06 and Enigmail 0.91.

Best regards

| Enigmail, for those who do not know, is a graphical frontend to GnuPG
| that works as an extension in Thunderbird and Mozilla Suite
