My experience is that things written in node do have compat
requirements, and that things trail the latest release a bit. Generally
I find node version compat to be troublesome. This is somewhat about
zwave-js, not in pkgsrc.

Thus I do not see "make it be the latest" as something that ought to
happen by default, absent understanding the needs of the node-using
programs.

We've sufficiently normalized bulk-test-foo that it appears deficient
not to have bulk-test-node.
