Re: chromium update
Hi again,
I'm back after a full pkgsrc update on my build host, and now
have chromium installed on my build host, which is ... headless.
I should perhaps not be surprised that chromium is not too happy
about running over remote X11, as it evidently wants to do GL and
DRM, and when trying to do it over X11, all I get is a steady
now-and-then error message of
[22770:126575955232768:0822/063026.426452:ERROR:gpu_process_host.cc(1008)] GPU process exited unexpectedly: exit_code=512
and on a second try I get a window, but still
libGL error: failed to open drm device: Operation not supported by device
libGL error: failed to load driver: i965
and after a minute or so
[13023:125756240582656:0822/063524.725814:FATAL:gpu_data_manager_impl_private.cc(454)] GPU process isn't usable. Goodbye.
So so much for that. This is of course not a criticism of the
packaging, which appears to have worked just fine.
Just so as to adjust expectations for others. I may return later
with a retry on my actual workstation and not on a remote build
host (which "of course" has a slightly different NetBSD version
and pkgsrc branch, so I can't just transfer the package
binaries from the build host, sadly).
Best regards,
- Håvard
