chromium update
Hi,
I pushed an update to pkgsrc-wip/chromium, with @ryoon approval. This
is an ~up2date chromium, what I started from @ryoon’s old
pkgsrc-wip/chromium package, based on the OpenBSD’s chromium, the
NetBSD relevant changes from pkgsrc:qt5-qtwebengine and some own
modifications.
Builds and with some workarounds works for me on NetBSD-10 amd64 with
pkgsrc -trunk. My pkgsrc tree is outdated (~2 months), I hope no
problem with an up2date pkgsrc. In the TODO I wrote a dbus (simple),
and a pulseaudio (ugly) workaround, with these I have no issue with
chromium. On my NetBSD box I run it without problem,
github/facebook/youtube and other websites work for me.
If you check this package (~1300 patch :P) keep in mind that I’m not a
programmer, so maybe I made some wrong and ugly things in the
codebase…
To make easier the review, in the files folder I pushed the
nb-delta.patch, what is contains all changes over the OpenBSD
patchset, @rnagy makes good work, he is the chromium (and chromium
based) browser(s) maintainer on Open- and FreeBSD.
In the next week I plan to upgrade my NetBSD box to the latest pkgsrc
packages, and after updating chromium to the latest minor version
(follow OpenBSD’s chromium).
Any suggestions and comments are welcome.
Regards,
kikadf
