Really? So pkgsrc won't work unless you overwrite the SYSTEM provided 
pkgtools with the ones from pkgsrc! How is that acceptable?

Surely at the point in time that pkg_install is run the tools in 
/usr/pkg/sbin should get picked up and pkgsrc should think that all is 
good. If that's not the case then there is still more work to do in pkgsrc.
