Last time I checked, it was not fixed upstream. It's not trivial.

that's new. It builds in 2016Q2 and AFAIK nothing changed since
2016Q2 (exept the perl update). 
I'll try to have a look.

Not sure where this comes from. builds fine for me on netbsd 7.x in 2016Q2,
and AFAIK all changes from HEAD have been pulled up.
