Re: No CVS information for pkgsrc-wip?
These are not unreasonable dependencies. Perl is one of the first
things you install anyway (for things that build-depend on Perl, of
which there are many). p5-* take like 10 seconds to install each.
libidn and curl are needed to download stuff with ssl.
You could build git without curl, and you would lose the ability to
download over https (bad). OTOH, building git without perl is
definitely possible. You mostly use git format-patch, which I honestly
never used.
