I'd definitely appreciate this, too. I am currently fixing a few issues
with libs required by xfce4 in pkgsrc, like x11/vte and x11/xfce4-exo
by collecting existing patches to those issues.
I guess updating the whole xfce4 to 4.10 (or at least 4.8 from wip)
would solve a number of such problems in one sweep.
