MXE cross package environment

I recently came across:

  http://mxe.cc/

which seems to be intended to provide both package management and cross
building (but apparently only cross building).

I don't know that the licensing is, but it may be an interesting source
for those working on cross issues.  I am guessing it contains fixes for
various programs that aren't as cross friendly as they should be, or
perhaps something heavier.
