I don't know this is the exact reason or not, xdm stop running.
xdm error (pid 411): Cannot dlopen non-loadable \
/usr/lib/libpthread.so.1 while loading \
/usr/pkg/lib/X11/xdm/libXdmGreet.so
The change is /usr/pkg/lib/libfontconfig.so.1.6.2 is now linked with
libpthread.so.1. With fontconfig-2.10.91:
% ldd /usr/pkg/lib/libfontconfig.so.1
/usr/pkg/lib/libfontconfig.so.1:
-lfreetype.6 => /usr/pkg/lib/libfreetype.so.6
-lz.1 => /usr/lib/libz.so.1
-lgcc_s.1 => /lib/libgcc_s.so.1
-lc.12 => /usr/lib/libc.so.12
-lbz2.1 => /usr/lib/libbz2.so.1
-lexpat.2 => /usr/lib/libexpat.so.2
-lpthread.1 => /usr/lib/libpthread.so.1
On running case with fontconfig-2.10.2:
% ldd /usr/pkg/lib/libfontconfig.so.1.
/usr/pkg/lib/libfontconfig.so.1:
-lfreetype.6 => /usr/pkg/lib/libfreetype.so.6
-lz.1 => /usr/lib/libz.so.1
-lgcc_s.1 => /lib/libgcc_s.so.1
-lc.12 => /usr/lib/libc.so.12
-lbz2.1 => /usr/lib/libbz2.so.1
-lexpat.2 => /usr/lib/libexpat.so.2
Both are on NetBSD/amd64 6.0_STABLE.
xdm trying to load /usr/pkg/lib/X11/xdm/libXdmGreet.so and it linked
with libfontconfig.so.1 which linked with libpthread.so.1.
I reached to discussion on current-users:
http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-userlevel/2012/10/21/msg006839.html
And workaround using LD_PREOAD=/usr/lib/libpthread.so.1 to xdm for
now.
Should it be avoid link libfontconfig or other something wrong?
