libexec/ system daemons & system utilities (executed by other
programs)
share/ architecture-independent text files
so this shell script is a "program", which is more like a utility than a
"text file". So I think the right answer is libexec/yourpackagename.
Another clue is: if you put it in share, to which subcategory does it
belong? I don't see any good places.
