MACHINE_GNU_PLATFORM setting
I noticed that [NATIVE_]MACHINE_GNU_PLATFORM is set using
[NATIVE_]LOWER_ARCH not [NATIVE_]MACHINE_GNU_ARCH which would make a lot
more sense!
This is the cause of PR pkg/43147
Any objections to the below patch?
